Mayans

Mayans lived by the Atlantic Ocean. Mayans are well known for pyramids. The civilization was formed as early as1500 BC. The Mayan religion circles around the worship of mean nature gods. They develop astronomy calender system,writing.They built observatories to see stars.

Rose

The rose has a berry called rose hips. In fall the leaves turn yellow copper orange and dark maroon. Like all roses thay have thorns. And they have a easy identification thorny branches, rounded toothed leaves grow opposite each other, rocky soil. This plant has relatives like strawberries, raspberries, mountain mahogany, serviceberry, cinquefoil and more. Roses are beautiful. I love roses.

Today was a great day

Today was a great day. We went to play games at a festival. And we watched Camp Rock 2. And dad went to practice his shooting. My friend came over to play and we had a great time. We played on the swings. But we did not really play much because we watched Camp Rock 2, The Final Jam. It was a great day today and I liked it.

The trip to the zoo

My trip to the zoo was a great time. We saw elephants and hippos. One of the elephants broke her tooth. It happened at night and they think she hit it on something. Most of the animals were asleep because it was their afternoon nap time. I love to see all the animals. It as so amazing. We also saw a snake and it was so scary. It was over 20 feet long! I love the zoo.

Labor Day

Labor Day is a time when we celebrate the hard workers of America. It was first celebrated in 1883 on Monday September 2nd. Doctors, medics, TV builders and so many more, help us in our lives. It is an annual holiday on the first Monday of September.

My Classmates

I would like to tell you about Elizabeth and Amelia. We all like to sing and dance. I am in the same class as Elizabeth but not Amelia. But we still have a good time at recess. I like them because they are funny and they make up funny plays. They play with me at recess when I do not have anyone to play with. They are caring. I like them.

My First Day at School

My first day at school was fun. I like meeting new friends. This year I am in 2nd grade. I am doing all kinds of things. I love school.

Candy Factory Tour

The building is the factory.

We went to a candy factory tour on the 12th of August. We saw them making kettle corn. It was hot. We ate taffy and chocolate. It was yummy. I was in heaven.

Mount Rushmore

This is Mount Rushmore.

The faces are the presidents.

The car is us driving.

Mount Rushmore is important. It is huge. It has faces on the mountain. The faces are presidents. The presidents are Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt. I like to go there.

Art Camp

Art camp is fun. It is messy because the chalk smears and the paint splatters. I have art camp almost every day in the summer at Monart. I draw animals and make crafts. Miss Samantha teaches me. I like art camp and you will like it too.

The tea factory

In the afternoon, we went to the tea factory. It was in Boulder, Colorado. My dad took me with my grandma. I saw the machines. I smelled the different flavors of tea. They make the tea from different wildlife ingredients. Maybe I will grow up to make tea.

My swim lessons

I go to swim class in the mornings. My mom bought me a new swimsuit and a pair of goggles. I like to do freestyle and backstroke. I do my swim class lessons at the YMCA. I go to swim lessons every day. I like to jump in the pool. I like to swim.
